  Love this cute shopping / dining block in the middle of residential Washington Park. Unfortunately there's very limited on street parking on Gaylord itself, and surrounding neighborhood street parking is pretty tight too. Plan ahead and arrive early if you're meeting friends. Restaurants all have relaxed, friendly and chill vibe - servers and bartenders take the time to say "hi" if they've seen you before.

  I have heard that there are five areas in the general Denver metropolitan large area. Two of these small commerce areas in south Denver include Gaylord and Pearl Street, that are close to each other. Both of all of the small areas used to be their own towns. Gaylord has many restaurants and some shops, selling things ranging from skateboards to fancy clothes and unusual and imported crafts and arts. Some of the restaurants are relatively expensive, and others are more bohemian and moderate in cost. This little one-block commercial area has much more than expected. This area is worth a trip for unusual presents and a great lunch.
