  The battery in my Lexus key had died, so I was no longer able to remotely lock and unlock the car. I couldn't get the screw out on the key fob to replace the battery. Lexus offered to sell me a brand new key for $150. I went to a locksmith in Denver who suggested I either break the plastic case to get to the battery and then duct tape it back together (seriously) or buy a new key from them for $180. But then - I went to Batteries Plus! Which is where I should have started. Maxwell told me they seal the screw in place with plastic and the key had to be heated first. So he gets the screw out no problem, and replaced the battery for me for $8. The screw was totally stripped from the locksmith's efforts to get it out, so I had to run to the Ace hardware next door to get a new screw for a quarter. So, $8.50 vs $180? You should start at Batteries Plus!! Thanks Maxwell, you're my hero!
